...lauds environment friendly partners for saving the ecosystem
For their sterling contributions and effort towards saving the environment from degradation and wash-off, the Ministry of Environment and Solid Minerals on Tuesday, 5th October awarded key contributors of environmental sustainability and protection.
The award ceremony which is the first ever in the ministry was held at the ministry's conference room.
In attendance were the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mr Orman Esin, Commissioner for Power & Petroleum Resources, Dr. John James, Chairman, Uyo local government Area, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo, Chairman, Nsit Ubium LGA, Architect Iniobong Orok, Head Quality /Environmental Health Standards, Chicken Republic, Mr. Olawuyi Kazeem, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Nsudoh Nsudoh, Managing Director of Nigerpet structures Ltd, Mr. Sunday Popoola, Capt. Iniobong Ekong, Senior Special Assistant on Security, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare ably represented by Director of Admin, Mrs Anietie Archibong, environmental stakeholders, partners, directors from ministry, among others.
Giving a brief of the award ceremony, the Commissioner for Environment and Solid Minerals, Sir Charles Udoh hinted that the award was hinged on the tripod of - recognition, appreciation and reward of environmental friendly partners who have used their resources and platforms to create awareness, contribute towards saving and restoring the ecosystem.
