Kano is presently agog as the state is besieged with siren and government presence, as all is now set for Yusuf, President Muhammadu Buhari's son, to wed Zahra, daughter to the Emir of Bichi, Nasir Ado-Bayero in a glamour styled event in the next hour.
In Kano, Yusuf Buhari is seen as a lucky young man in many ways. Not only did he get a deserving bride, but as the only son, he is the apple of his parents's eyes. Also surviving a major power bike accident, even makes him the luckiest young man around. And all these has reflected in the love and attention his wedding event has generated.
In Kano, the Presidency is on ground, apart from President Muhammadu Buhari who will be physically present for the event, a presidential delegation is already in town for this august event.
The excitement in Kano we hear is real with the presidential delegation including the Ministers of Defence, Bashir Magashi; Agriculture, Sabo Nanono; Aviation, Hadi Sirika and Water Resources, Suleiman Hussein Adamu as well as the Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media and Publicity), Garba Shehu are physically present.
Governors Bello Matawalle of Zamfara, Babagana Zulum of Borno, are amongst others in Kano.
Yusuf's wedding Fatiha will commence at about 1:30 p.m. at Bichi Central Mosque after Juma’at prayer.
