Runsewe, cultural group commends Wike on Oniyide as Tourism Commissioner


Governor nyesom wike of River State has been commended for the reappointment of Mrs Tonye Briggs Oniyide as the commissioner of tourism and culture.

In her first tenure, the commissioner took the business of culture and tourism revival to greater heights, with Rivers State putting up the best ever national festival of art and culture, wining the overall best performing state diadem back to back.

Otunba segun Runsewe DG, national Council for Arts and Culture ( NCAC),  stated that governor wike  has shown exampelry leadership and forthrightness in returning the hard working Oniyide to her beat, thus encouraging continuity and boosting confidence among those called to serve.

"Governor wike deserves our support and praises in this very important decision to return Mrs Oniyide back to office which is testament to the fact that the governor wants the best for Rivers State" otunba Runsewe explained, adding that  greater achievements in culture and tourism will be recorded in River State under Governor wike.

In same vain, a cultural group, Youths for the Advancement of Culture, thumbed up governor wike for the reappointment of  Tonye Briggs Oniyide as commissioner of tourism and culture in Rivers State.

The group led by Evans Brown disclosed that prayers will be said daily for the governor wike and his team to enable them build a River State to which the indigenes and all nigerians will call home and the  culture capital of nigeria.
