True to his word, businessman cum
politician Prince Ashimiu Adeyinka Afeez Adio kept his promise to the
people of Ona Ara and Egbeda Constituency of Oyo state where he hails from, by
not only setting up a foundation he has called Adio Foundation, but also
funding it and taking off immediately with programmes of empowerment to aid and
help the people out of poverty.
The first part of the planned schedule
of social services for the people in Ona Ara and Egbeda constituency, aptly
commenced with a free skills acquisition training on the production of soap and
other domestic items such as liquid disinfectants, Vaseline, stove threads,
body spray and so on between 30th of October to 3rd
November 2018.
The programme which was held at Oremeji
Babanla area of Ibadan according to those who participated, was a very
revealing one as it empowered a huge number of people who were there to learn
from far and wide. The programme which exposed the huge crowd to a number of
entrepreneurial skills was well commended and many did call on the businessman
cum politician to repeat it in order to bless more and more people.
Prince Adio told newsmen and
assured the crowd after the event that “Adio Foundation’ will not relent
in its efforts to bless people with enterprise vbut also to develop APC party
members and others in such a way that poverty will be eradicated in Ona Ara and Egbeda Constituency of Oyo state
where he hails from.”
He also said that he is happy with the
turn out that though a ferwe number of people were expected, but a larger
number of people turned up for the programme. This he said confirms that
Nigerians are ready to improve themselves and develop new skills.
