Uyo, Akwa Ibom state will tommorow Wednesday 21st, receive Aare (Dr) Abisoye Fagade, FIMC, the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR), who will be among one of the top stakeholders at the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) Council meeting, holding in the state.
On hand to receive him will be the indefatigable President of the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), Mr. Nkereuwem Onung along with Top Hospitality Consultant and Matron of NIHOTOUR Alumni Association, Lady Idy Ekwo, amongst others.
Information emanating from the desk of NIHOTOUR Alumni Association National President, Comrade Jonathan Justin Akem, commended the Director-General for finding the need to be part of the deliberations of FTAN Council meeting in Uyo which is expectedly will touch on major issues that centres around tourism, hospitality and other related matters.
The 3-day federation council meeting in Akwa Ibom State, will include the FTAN Governing Council Meeting, gala night, a tour of the state for the guests to have ‘a taste of Akwa Ibom and also, explore the destination and its cultural heritage’. It is also planned to offer tourism stakeholders and an opportunity to have first-hand experience of the destination, and the efforts by the current administration in the state, led by Governor Pastor Umo Eno, to develop tourism.
The event will officially be declared open by The Nigerian Minister for Culture, Tourism, Art & Creative Economy, Honourable Hannatu Musa Musawa.
