Africans, Africans in Diaspora and lovers of the continent who have excelled in their chosen professions, positively touched lives and contributed to the socio-economic growth of the society are set to be recognized and honoured at the Excellence Achievers Awards 2023.
Organised by Effects Media, UK and Effects Media & Events LLC, USA, the event scheduled for Houston, Texas has been endorsed by the City Mayor, Sylvester Turner and will witness the celebration of unsung heroes and heroines who have through their organisations created jobs, trained and inspired people, added value and put smiles on peoples' faces.
According to Mr Tunde Thomas, Executive Producer of Excellence Awards and Publisher, Effects International Magazine, the occasion is expected to celebrate people from different walks of life and people in different professions such as Accountancy/Finance,Academia,Fashion, Law, Entertainment, Philanthropy, Media, Music, Movie and entrepreneurship.
He noted that the award ceremony would assemble the best and the brightest stars for an evening of celebration and recognition of true achievers-and the event will have no religious, ethnic or political bias.
"Through the event, we will also raise funds for some charitable causes that will be targeted at underserved communities and the girl-child in the United States and Africa", Mr Thomas stated.
Furthermore, the organisers of the awards ceremony noted that young achievers will also be honoured as a way of inspiring them to aspire for greater achievements.
He also revealed that the evening will also feature high quality entertainment in terms of music and comedy, while also providing an opportunity for networking and a strong platform for corporate organisations to reach a global audience at one venue.
In addition, he stated that the City of Houston was carefully chosen for its cultural diversity and hospitality while the venue, Enoch Centre, got the nod for being a unique, modern, elegant and classy event hall and ballroom. "It is tastefully designed with a beautiful cocktail area, gallant entrance and grand foyer. We chose a venue that exudes excellence and class because of the calibre of awardees and guests expected and the prestige attached to the ceremony"
