As preparation for the 2023 general elections enters the final lap, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno has urged Christians to vote for God - fearing candidates for expansion of God's kingdom on earth.
In his remarks at the inauguration of the Methodist Diocese of Oruk Anam and ordination of Rev (Barr.) Umoh Okon Mbuk as Bishop for the Diocese,
Pastor Eno noted that the choice of a succeesor for the incumbent governor will determine the fate of the state.
According to him, the Governor Udom Emmanuel- led administration has for almost eight years, successfully expanded God's kingdom by openly professing Christ.
He noted that the 2023 election is a battle by men of the underworld to change the narrative and return the state to the days of politically- motivated killings, kidnappings and other related crimes.
Pastor Eno who stressed that the election is not about Governor Udom Emmanuel or himself, but the youths, children and the future generation maintained that the state cannot afford to leave the seat of power in the hands of people who do not consider life as precious.
He urged them to allow their conscience guide their votes with the consciousness that their vote is their right and could make or mar the state.
The Nsit Ubium- born clergyman who is a Methodist by association, congratulated the Church for expanding God's kingdom, as well as the new Bishop of the diocese and prayed that God will grant him the grace to shepherd the flock according to His will.
