Covid-19 is a visitor, it'll go, our culture will stay - Runsewe

The Director General of the National Council For Arts and Culture (NCAC), Otunba Olusegun Runsewe has reminded Nigerians and culture enthusiasts that, they should not give up on promotioms of our culture, hospitality, tourism products and destinations.

Runsewe gave these words of encouragement at the opening ceremony of the 3-Day 14th International Arts and Crafts Expo 2021 at the grounds of Sheraton Hotel and Towers in Abuja.

"Covid-19 is a visitor, and it's stay is almost over. It's already going, we must return to work gradually and fast.

"The world is opening up, we must dust our arts and crafts once again and offer to the world, the beauty of our tourism products."

On the 3 Day networking event, Runsewe said that:

"We are celebrating our great country Nigeria from a different perspectives throughout these three days event. Here, we have exhibition from all the different six zones in the ccountry. Go to any of these sta ds and you can have a taste of their different delicacies and products.

"Tomorrow, the diplomatic community will be joining us here, to savour and relish all the goodness of tourism products that Nigeria offers. We are opening up the hospitality, travel and tourism industry. We need to make a statement that Covid-19 is a visitor. Enough of staying in-doors. We can start moving from place to place and enjoy our lives. Some of us must be ccouraheou enough to say this. We must move to the next level. Covid-19 is like rainfall. When it rains, you can go out but use an umbrella or raincoat. So that's the statement we are maki g here. We must move on with our lives," said Runsewe.
