Ex US Secretary of State, Colin Powell has died from Covid-19, according to family sources.
A statement from his family confirmed this:
”General Colin L. Powell, former U.S. Secretary of State and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff passed away this morning due to complications from Covid 19.
“We have lost a remarkable and loving husband, father, grandfather and a great American and he was fully vaccinated before he got infected with the virus,” said the statement from the family.
Colin Powell who was 84-year-old, is said to have died despite having been fully vaccinated.
It's on record that Colin Powell was the first Black US secretary of state.
