UYO IS GRATEFUL TO GOV EMMANUEL - Stakeholders

... As MPM Campaign Penetrates State Capital


Stakeholders in Uyo Local Government Area have expressed their gratitude to Governor Udom Emmanuel for the numerous life touching programmes and projects which he has embarked upon across the capital city, and pledged full dedication to his succession plan.


Speaking in Ibom Hall at the inauguration of the Local Government Steering Committee of Maintain Peace Movement (MPM), Uyo Chapter, the Chairman of Uyo Capital City Development Authority (UCCDA), Prince Enobong Uwah, thanked Governor Emmanuel for the current peace being enjoyed across the state leading to the numerous infrastructural development as well as attraction of investors to the state.


Also speaking, the Uyo Local Government Council Chairman, Dr Uwemedimo Udo, stated that Uyo Local Government which is a major key player in the political process, will stand by Governor Udom Emmanuel to ensure that his succession plan as well as the the Completion Agenda comes to light.


Other stakeholders who spoke including the former State Assembly member and current Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Monday Eyo, all promised to work for the actualization of the peace project even after the tenure of the present administration.


Delivering the governor's message before inaugurating the Uyo Steering Committee, the Chairman of MPM, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem, thanked the people of Uyo for their massive support over the years which has witnessed a massive increase of life touching projects.


He explained that the essence of the movement is to consolidate on the existing peace being enjoyed in the state through the mercy of God and the kind benevolence of the Governor.


The MPM Steering Committee for Uyo has Prince Enobong Uwah as Chairman, with Hon Monday Eyoh as Secretary, among others who constitute the group's leadership in Uyo.
