Wisdom Spring Montessori Schools celebrate 20 years of robust educational system

Last week Saturday, Wisdom Spring Montessori Schools, located in Egan, Igando area of Lagos, celebrated 20 years of robust educational system, and it was a time to shower and receive all the encomiums and more importantly, to roll out the drums.

Otunba Olu Adenodi and Mrs Clara Funmilola Adenodi

For the Proprietress and Chief Executive Officer of the school, Mrs Clara Funmilola Adenodi, it was not just a time to celebrate, but also, a time to declare thanksgiving to the Almighty God who has sustained the school all these years.

So ably supported by the Chairman of the Governing Board of the school, Otunba Olu Adenodi and the entire management staff and students of the school, the "able team," as Proprietress called it, had a full thansgiving / holy communuion service at the school's new auditorium, put together by the Diocese of Lagos Mainland, Saint Luke's Anglican Church of Ilamoye Ijeshatedo.

The service was officiated by Venerable K.K Ogundile, the Preacher was Revd Canon Emmanuel Olajiga and the theme was "Raising a total child.'

Despite the solemn service, the celebration was colourful and lively with dance and songs of praise. Parents and well wishers thronged the school's new auditorium to partake in the celebration but however, maintaining covid-19 protocols.

Indeed Wisdom Spring Montessori Schools has cause to celebrate. All were gladly informed that the school has produced successful adults in different works of life. And some of the old students graced the occasion, along with some old staff who pioneered the early beginnings of the school.

For such old staff, it was an emotional moment to return to see the small seed of labour they had sown, several years ago, grow into a mighty school.

Encomium poured for the Proprietress and the entire Governing Board of the school, for their diligence that has also seen the school grow into a primary and secondary school.

After the service, there was a reception which featured entertainment and side attractions. Among which was the brief history of the school, poetry, ewi rendition, choreography and cultural performances by the current students of the school.

Some of the highlights of the celebration, was the cutting of the tape to declare open the 3 new school laboratories (chemistry, physics and biology), well equipped along with the presentation of awards to well deserving people, staff and students.

There was the Founder's Appreciation Award, which went to: Mr A.O. Shobule, Mrs Rose Babatunde, Mr M.O. Olaiya, Pastor S.S. Alayande, Mr Kolawole Akinwande, and Mr Adejugbe Akinyele.
