The Governor of Akwa Ibom State Mr. Udom Emmanuel has emphasized the importance of Youth in economic development and urges them to be law abiding and productive in order to benefit maximally from the ongoing entrepreneurial drive of his administration.
Represented by the Commissioner for Environment and Solid Minerals, Sir Charles Udoh at the 65th Akwa Ibom Youth Prayer Conference today Sunday 15 August, 2021 at The African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Zion Church in Ikot Obio Mkpong Ikono,Uyo Local Government Area.
The Governor expresses satisfaction on the peaceful conduct of the youth since inception of his administration. He further encouraged youths who came out in their numbers that they can't remain youths for a lifetime and as such should make good use of the thriving economy, the ease of doing business and sustain the peace in Akwa Ibom State.
Also, he thanked the leadership of the church for always praying for the state and donated cash towards advancing God's work in the church.
Also, Speaking at the event, The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Matters, Mr. Aniefiok Iwaudofia thanked Governor Emmanuel for honouring the invitation, highlighting all the support he has shown to the youth structure in the state and always listening to the yearnings of the Youths.
In Attendance were Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Marketing and Brand Management ,Mr. Ime Uwah,Special Assistant to the Governor on Mobilisation Mr. Uwem Asuqwo, Special Assistant to the Governor on Research and Documentation Mr. Ndanti Ekuh, Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring Mr. Kufre Mendie, Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring Mr. Itoro Etim, Vice Chairman of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Mr. Edidiong Inyang, President Akwa Ibom State Female Youth, Miss Esther Nta, State Youth Leaders, Serving Councillors and Supervisors and a host of others.
