Real Madrid's Coach, Zinedine Zidane, bows out

By Paul Ukpabio

This season has not really been the best for Zinedine Zidane, a former France's forward, who later became Real Madrid's coach.

Despite a good run for the La Liga title, he lost to Atletico Madrid, and that sealed the bucket of failure of not lifting a trophy this season!

A statement from Real Madrid made it clear that, they must now respect Zidane's decision.

So the good manager, walks out of the club, with the club thanking him for his professionalism, dedication and passion over the years and for what he means to Real Madrid.

Between 2001 to 2006, Zidane as he popularly called, played for Real Madrid and won several titles for the club including Champions league titles and La Liga titles. He also won two Club World Cups, two Uefa Super Cups and two Spanish Super Cups.

As he bows out, Real Madrid's just released statement, has this to say about him:

"Zidane is one of Real Madrid's great icons and his legacy extends beyond what he has achieved as a coach and player at our club."

Hint about his likely departure, spilled out few weeks ago, but now, it's official, Zidane has finally bowed out. And it is the second time he is leaving.
