Heroin worth N564m busted at Abuja airport - says NDLEA

Babafemi, NDLEA Director, Publicity and Advocacy


National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has announced the seizure of heroin with a probable street value of N564m at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

According to a statement by Mr Femi Babafemi, the NDLEA Director, Publicity and Advocacy, "the heroin was found concealed in the lining of a false bottom in Goodluck Odeh's suitcase.


Odeh, the 40 year old suspect hails from Ikpoba Okha Local Government, in Edo state.


Odeh who claimed he lives in Italy, was arrested at the departure lounge of the Abuja airport during clearance of Ethiopian aircraft 911 en route Addis Ababa to Italy.
