Nigeria’s health sector set to get $18.2m from Japan says Minister

The Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Mr Clem Agba, said in Benin yesterday, that the Japanese Government has offered $18.2 million which amounts to about N40.6 billion, current value, to support Nigeria’s health sector.

Clem Agba who was at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), said his visit there was to:

"assess utilisation of the N49 billion intervention fund released by the Federal Government to 52 federal health institutions in the country, which would come to them, in the form of equipment and capacity building for medical personnel."
