Cleric and university don, Dr. Tayo Popoola, has called for national repentance to appease God over the gruesome murder of God's servants in the Nigeria country in recent times.
Dr. Popoola made the call in a sermon delivered at the weekend at the headquarters of Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries' 12th convention and anniversary thanksgiving service in Mowe, Ogun State, on the South west of Nigeria.
Ministering on the theme: Prepare ye the way of the
Lord -Isa 40:3, Dr. Popoola whose message was titled: "Turn ye again
now" from the book of Jeremiah 25:5 described the various gruesome murder
of innocent servants of God in the country as barbaric and provocative.
He compared such acts with the story of Prophet
Jeremiah who some people conspired to murder for delivering God's messages.
He noted that national repentance was necessary to
avert God's curses and anger on the nation and her inhabitants. He urged all
the perpetrators of evil in the country to repent and turn to God.
Earlier on Saturday, the training arm of the ministry
had her 12th graduation and ordination in which the CEO of West African
Exploration Production Co. Ltd, Mr. Rotimi Adefarasin delivered the graduation
lecture.
While congratulating the students for successfully
completing the course on Deliverance Ministry, he tasked them to know who they
are, their enemies, as well as their weapons of warfare amongst others.
He reminded them that many are called but few are chosen and urged them to be
among the called and chosen.
