Evacuation of flood on IBB Avenue in Uyo begins soonest

... As the host communities gives full support

The Akwa Ibom State Government is set to deliver on the IBB Avenue flood evaluation project as all concerning the project has been finalized.

The Commissioner for Environment and Petroleum Resources, Sir Charles Udoh  made this known today during a formal visit to the  Paramount Ruler of Uyo Edidem Sylvanus Effiong Okon (JP) the host community of the project.

Sir Udoh who is capped with the Supervisory role of the Said project was accompanied by the Permanent Secretary Of the Ministry, Mr Nsudoh Nsudoh, State Coordinator NEWMAP, Dr. Ubong Harrison, and a delegation from Chinese Road and Bridge Construction Company,

the Chinese Company in charge of executing the project.

The Eteidung  Of Aka Offot , Atan Offot and Effiat Offot in their speeches thanked the State  Government for bringing to reality their greatest wish and that they as heads of their communities are ready to give full support to both the government and company in charge of the project to make sure the project reaches full completion.

Also present at the visit was the Uyo Local Government Chairman, Elder Imoh Okon, Village Head Of Aka Offot , Eteidung Francis Morgan, Village Head Of Atan Offot, Eteidung Idongesit Ekon, Village Head Of Effiat Offot , Eteidung A. E. Udoh, Member Representing Uyo State Constituency, Hon. Anietie Eka, Youth leaders, Women Leaders amongst others.
