The Executive Governor of Zamfara State His Excellency
Dr. Bello Matawalle (MON) has purchased over 200 computers for distribution to
all the State Financial Directors to enable them to participate in the National
IPPISS Program.
In his believe that education is a continuous process
in the life of every human, and with the whole world going global in
communication, teaching, learning, production, information management,
industrialization and so on, the governor in his believe that the demands for
these new ways of life will continue to dominate our social, official and
domestic life affecting the way leaders, corporate executives, industry
practitioners and government take decisions, is therefore re-positing the state
to meet this global demand and process of communication and administration.
“There is a need to equip and acquire the necessary
tools for today’s challenges,” said the governor in Gusau. “It is our desire to
make our people compete favorably and meet this global challenge with the
overriding objective being to assist them in their training, and make every one
of us progressive.”
The Governor added that, “these computers will go a
long way in putting the state ahead of all other state in terms of information
gathering and distribution. The idea is to give our financial directors the
opportunity to compete favorably with their counterparts in other states,
especially the southern states where most of them have gone far in the trade.”
Governor Bello Matawalle (MON) also promised to reach
out to other director's in different sectors of the state agencies with similar
gestures to aid their professional training programs.
