Change of baton as Barr Ememobong takes over from Hon Charles Udoh at AKS info ministry

The newly sworn-in Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Barr Ini Ememobong has charged the management and staff of the Ministry to remain unrelenting in projecting the the good works of the present administration as the Mandate of communicating the Completion Agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel rests on them.

Barr Ini Ememobong stated this early today during the change of baton between him and his predecessor in the Conference room of Ministry of Information and Strategy, Block 2, Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat Complex, Uyo. 


The Information Boss commended the staff of the Ministry for the commendable work done so far and urged them to keep up the tempo, reiterating that, the reward for good work, is more work.

He applauded his predecessor, the Commissioner for Environment and Petroleum Resources, Sir Charles Udoh for his professionalism and assured that the legacies he left behind in the Ministry would be maintained.

While promising to maintain the mutual respect with which he and his predecessor have shared over the years, the State Spokesman stated that as members of the State Exco, it is only proper that they both work together in harmony in furtherance of the Completion Agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel and wished Sir Charles Udoh well in his new ministry.

In his handing over speech, the out-gone Information Commissioner now Commissioner for Environment and Petroleum Resources, Sir Charles Udoh, urged the Management and staff of the Ministry to uphold professionalism at all times in the discharge of their duties and continue to render full  cooperation and support to the newly appointed Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Barr Ini Ememobong.

Sir Charles Udoh who spoke glowingly on the attributes of the new Information helmsman, described Barr Ini Ememobong as a competent successor and reflected on the cordial working relationship they both enjoyed while in his previous assignment as the State PDP Publicity Secretary.

Briefing the new Information Boss on the activities of the Ministry, Sir Charles Udoh applauded the Permanent Secretary - Mr. Inyang Jameson, Directors, and staff of the Ministry for the cordial working relationship and support they gave to him and appealed that they extend same to his successor - Barr Ini Ememobong.

He restated his commitment to Gov. Udom Emmanuel’s completion agenda and promised that the ingenuity, zeal, and determination with which he carried out his duties as Information Commissioner would be replicated in his new Ministry. 

On his part, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mr. Inyang Jameson welcomed the new Commissioner, Barr Ini Ememobong to the Ministry and assured him of the loyalty and cooperation of staff of the Ministry.
