The front line Senator in his message to the newly crowned Oba, wishes the monarch long life and many glorious years on the throne.
The Okanlomo of Ibadan, Sen. Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi said
that, “good things usually find a way of reaching good people. I felicitate and
rejoice with you on this epoch-making occasion.” He also prayed that the people
of Lagos and beyond will enjoy the reign of the new Oba.
The distinguished Senator who served as a lawmaker
representing Oyo South senatorial district for four years in the last Senate,
has in the last years, continued to dedicate his life to philanthropy and
restoration of family and societal values.
And most recent of his philanthropic gestures are, the
Feed-A-Soul programme through his foundation called Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi
Foundation based in Ibadan; donation of Covid-19 palliatives to individuals,
groups and institutions; provision of free-interest loans to the associations
and groups amongst others.
The new Monarch, the Senator added, is bringing with him
to the throne, the experience and wealth of over 21 years that he has used to
serve the people of Lagos, in the cabinet of the last, past, four Governors of
Lagos, beginning with ex Governor Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration. And
prior to ascending the throne of his fathers, he was the Commissioner in the
Ministry of Housing and Agriculture, in the incumbent Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s cabinet.
