Indian Community refutes wrong allegation of ravishing covid-19 cases among members in Ilupeju

The Indian community in Lagos has come out with strong words to denounce the on going online publication insinuating that it's community is presently struggling and battling with covid-19 in it's Ilupeju location in Lagos State, Nigeria.
The Indian community said it seriously takes objection to the news which has suddenly been spreading on social media. 

According to Chief Sanjay Jain, the President of the Indian Cultural Association, Lagos, Nigeria, the apex body of Indians in Nigeria who spoke on the news of said reported 26 deaths in the last two weeks amongst it's community due to Covid-19, he said:

We wish to refute the story completely. As we also get news from our various sources within our community and the figure mentioned above is just baseless!

Our community is well educated and know the seriousness of this Pandemic. Whoever got infected so far, followed the rules laid down by the NCDC and went to the isolation centres. Majority of them got tested negative also!"

Chief Jain commended the work of the NCDC and recalled that the Indians who went to the isolation centres - all spoke very high about the services provided by the isolation centres being run by the NCDC/MOH. 

"Therefore, the news which is in circulation is totally baseless and we would request the public to disregard it completely.
