Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi has felicitated with Christian faithfuls this season of Easter.
The Okanlomo of Ibadan land urged all to pray for the healing of the land regardless of faith or ethnicity.
In his message, he said: “Today, we join our Christian brothers and sisters across the world to celebrate the Easter festivities.
"This commemoration is a time for deep reflection and it is imperative for us all to borrow a leaf from the humility and sacrifice exhibited by Christ when he yielded his life for the redemption of mankind.
"It is a time for all of us regardless of faith, or ethnicity, to pray for the healing of our world and that God should remember the entire human race and all His creation, in His love.
"Remember, joy is contagious; not like COVID-19. The power of JOY supersedes COVID-19.
"So, even as you stay safe at home and as you follow all hygiene practices, find a reason to rejoice and be grateful this season," the Senator added.
