Ex-senator
of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Florence Ita-Giwa was all smiles as
friends, colleagues and family members trooped out in their numbers to
celebrate her at 74.
The event
took place at her Echoes Calabar Restaurant, Akin Olugbade Street, Victoria
Island, Lagos.
The solid
soiree featured Nigeria's king of soul music, Tuface Idibia, who serenaded the
birthday girl with his evergreen songs, including the African Queen.
The
exclusive party had socialites of no mean repute in attendance, and among them
were Hajia Abba Folawiyo, Mrs Ireti Asemota, Onyeka Onwenu, Mrs Ngozi
Nkoloenyi, Mr Segun Awolowo, Francis Ogboro, Ben Obaze, Mr. & Mrs Anumudu,
Lanre Ogunlesi, Guy Murray Bruce, prolific designer, Mudi and others.
