The Director General of National Lottery Regulatory
Commission, Mr Lanre Gbajabiamila has asked all erring lottery operators to defray
all debts owed to the federal Government or face stiff sanctions.
Gbajabiamila sounded this note of warning at a meeting
between the management of the NLRC and the lottery operators which took place
in Abuja.
He said that revocation of licenses as well as arrests
and prosecution awaited operators who fail to comply fully with the terms and
conditions of their licenses and operating permits.
He further more warned that an existing synergy between
management of NLRC and enforcement bodies like EFCC, Nigeria Police Force as
well as others, will ensure that any operator owing the government, will be
made to cough out what they are owing.
