Ooni Of Ife, Culture Enthusiasts Celebrate 12th Edition Of CULTURATI In Lagos

The 12th edition of Africa’s cultural celebration, “Culturati”, the festival is formerly known as “My Heritage, My Pride and Sisi Oge (Pride of Africa)” held recently at the Balmoral Convention Center, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. 

The event was graced by prominent culture ambassadors, including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Princess Toyin Kolade, and Chief Nike Davies–Okundaye, who played hosts. 

In his welcome address, the CEO of Culturati, Aregbe Idris, explained that the festival has gone beyond an annual event, stressing that it is also a business platform designed to explore the business angles of the African culture, create platforms to support young industry starters, reward cultural icons, as well as celebrate the African culture. 

The well-attended event was full of exciting moments, as first-class cultural festivals took centre stage as well as beauty pageantry, musical performances and award presentation. Nathaniel Shofarasin and Abisola Salawu emerged winners of the pageantry in the male and female categories respectively. Notable personalities, including Yemisi Shyllon, Alhaja Kafayat Olaitan, Seun Kuti, Ara Thunder, Tolu Lamidi were also celebrated for their involvement in cultural promotion. 

Other personalities at the event included the Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Tunde Balogun; Otunba Tolani Oladipo, Alhaji Kashim Imam, Amb. Toyin Lawal, Alhaji Mutiu Aare, Hajia Bisi Shuaibu, Chairman, Doscar Group Holdings, HRM Oscar Yao doe; Media Mogul, Prince Bisi Olatilo, MC Oluomo, Comedienne Helen Paul, MC Whalemouth, Pencil, Desktalker, among others.
