For Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Chief Gani Adams, the declaration of June 12 as Democracy Day, brings back good memories of the Late Chief MKO Abiola, the winner of the election supposed most free and fair election in Nigeria.
Chief Gani Adams who spoke at Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) commemoration of June 12 at Ogba area of Lagos yesterday, said that President Mohammadu Buhari has done well by this gesture.
Also speaking at the event, Dr, Josephine Obiajulu Odumakin said she hailed the president for honouring Chief MKO Abiola, she however also said that, many other things still need to be done.
The keynote Speaker at the event Dr. Dele Ashiruadded that the President needs to honour MKO Abiola by placing his photogragh at Aso Rock Villa and also Abiola needs to be paid all his entitlement from 1993 to date.
