Being the Chairman Senate Committee on Culture and
Tourism has really been a turn-around period for Senator Fatimat Raji-Rasaki.
She has been deeply involved in the business of tourism and taking the issues
in the industry very seriously. It will be recalled that not too long ago,
Senator Fatimat Raji Rasaki moved a motion for de-merging of the culture and
tourism ministry. She has also in recent times been outspoken and calling for
the recognition of tourism as a money spinning alternative to the nation’s economic
well-being.
Meanwhile, the Senator is not all about words, she is
also about implementation and these days, she is fully on ground at her home
base in Ado-Ekiti where she is growing the business of tourism. We hear that she is
presently positioning to train tour guides in Ekiti state.
