Another heavy death toll has just been averted at popular Ojodu Berger bridge where lives and properties were lost just few months ago through a fuel tanker explosion.
Eye-witness account said that just 40 minutes ago, pandemonium struck when a Mazda car suddenly emited fire from it's bonnet and the fire sooner engulfed the whole vehicle.
The bridge which is noted for high usage by fuel tankers was immediately deserted as those who were close to the fire spot, fled to safety.
However, fire-fighters came on the scene, stopped traffic flow on the expressway, until the fire was totally off and traffic flow resumed.
The Expressway should have a standby fire service station.
