Udom, not an exception to visionary leadership - Onofiok Luke

...as Divine Mandate DG sells Gov'nor Emmanuel again

By Joseph Atainyang

The Speaker, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Onofiok Luke has extolled the leadership impacts of Governor Udom Emmanuel in Akwa Ibom State, saying he is not an exception to visionary leadership.

Speaker Luke who spoke with journalists Thursday at the NUJ Press Centre, Uyo, described the Governor as an inspiring and dogged leader, having the spirit of excellence and the zeal to work for the collective growth of the state.

Luke said the Udom Emmanuel era, having come with a rare definition of quality leadership and achieving so much in his five point agenda of wealth creation, poverty alleviation, economic and political inclusion, infrastructural consolidation and expansion, is still very committed to fulfilling other promises in the days to come, for an assured future to the people of Akwa Ibom State.

His words, "It is by now an incontrovertible fact that since the return of democracy, Akwa Ibom state has prominently featured in the small league of states in Nigeria which has had the benefit of development-driven leadership. We have been fortunate to have been led by people who envisioned, inspired, and worked assiduously towards the actualization of our collective greatness, and the leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel is not an exception in this regard."

Similarly, the Director General of Divine Mandate, Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga, took time to market the governor as a brand that must be accepted for the safety and life assurance of the Akwa Ibom political future.

Nkanga who described Udom Emmanuel as selfless and transparent leader, told the people of the state that the last three years of Udom's administration has witnessed an amazing season of integrity-laden and Christocentric leadership.

He called on all Akwa Ibom sons and daughters to turn out enmssse and join hands to support Governor Emmanuel as he declares for a second term in office to make Akwa Ibom the most economically viable state in the country.

Meanwhile Governor Udom Emmanuel will declare his intention to run for a second term today at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium by 10 am.
