The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) in Cross River State has called for a check on quackery in the practice of medicine in the South eastern state.
Dr Effiong Mkpanam the present Chairman of the association in the state, made the call on behalf of the association during the 2018 Annual General Meeting/Scientific Conference of the association in Calabar.
Mkpanam said, "medical quackery in Cross River is assuming an embarrassing dimension," he therefore called on the state government to wade into to situation to curb it.
The event had as it's theme, "Impact of Economic and Security Challenges on Nigeria Health Sector."
