2ND EDITION OF HOME SWEET HOME HOLDS IN LAGOS ON DEC. 16

Uwem Umoh
The annual cultural carnival that awakens the lost pride of African lifestyle is here again. The festival which is specifically for variety of cultural displays (the African way), of different cultural troupes of different tribes within and outside Lagos, will take centre stage for a full day in Lagos on Dec 16th.

According to the Founder of Home sweet Home, Uwem Umoh, this year’s event will mesmerise and captivate the audience. “Our different rich African dishes will be generously displayed and made available for the people, as well as the locally made drinks. Aside the cultural display, only African tunes will be performed “live” by a select few. This is miles away from the regular concert of song miming and recycling of jokes.

“It promises to re-enact the nostalgia of the good old days of natural living, where children run along cheering the masquerades. And adults savour the sight and tunes.”

The event is being put together by SOLITAIRE MEDIA ENTERTAINMENT LIMITED, an integrated Marketing Communications, Entertainment and Events company.

Uwem Umoh is working alongside a dependable Vice President, Mrs Mandu Umoh, in creating a platform, to promote the rich African culture and her heritage.

Also the years’ edition will see the introduction of AFRICAN CULTURE AMBASSADORIAL AWARDS (AFRICAA).This rare platform is to create an avenue where uncelebrated heroes and custodians of our rich culture will be duly celebrated and internationally recognised. The names of potential African Culture Ambassadors shall be published soon. We are out to celebrate achievers in this sector

The event will take place at The People’s Club, 21 Ajao road, off Ogunlana Drive, Surulere, 10am to 6pm.
