... As President Faces Disciplinary Panel
The Governing Council of the Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN) has announced the suspension of Mr Femi Fadina as President and that of Mr Ayo Arokoyo, as Acting President.
This was the outcome of a Governing Council meeting held on Sunday September 28, 2025. At the meeting, Fadina was formally queried over alleged grave infractions of the ATPN Constitution. The Council found his defence and response to the allegations unsatisfactory.
Following this, a disciplinary panel was raised in line with due process to further interrogate Fadina on the allegations and present a report to the Council.
However, the Council, based in due process and Constitution of ATPN named Mr Ayo Arokoyo, the First Deputy President, to take over the functions of the office of the President, in the interim, as Acting President.
Arokoyo swore to uphold the tenets of the ATPN Constitution and to govern with inclusiveness.
He was mandated among others to commence the process for the much-delayed inauguration of the ATPN Standing Committees.
This Press Release also serves as a public disclaimer to advise Tourism Stakeholders, the government, other bodies, individuals and the general public, not to have any dealings with Fadina in the capacity of ATPN and to disregard any contrary information that could be used to impersonate or peddle any falsehood in respect of this subject matter.
