The Okanlomo of Ibadanland, Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi has in a warm heartfelt greeting, extended felicitations to former Minister of Works and Housing, Honourable Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), on his 60th birthday celebration today.
Senator Adesoji Akanbi noted with pleasure that Babatunde Fashola is not only deserving of recognition on a day like this, but also to be commended for his tenacity and commitment to the Nigerian project.
"Fashola is not new to us, right from time of his Governorship of Lagos State, he has been outstanding in leadership and has consistently showed an exemplary character worthy of emulation by our other public servants.
"On behalf of my wife and I, and my entire family, I wish the outstanding gentleman, a happy 60th birthday celebration. More fruitful years ahead and greater opportunity to serve this country."
Akanbi said further that Honourable Babatunde Fashola is one of those accomplished Nigerians who still have more to offer this country. "I admire his keen, deep interest in creating a better environment for his fellow citizens and his ability to be focused even before a myriad of distractions as was noticed while he was at his last duty call, as the Federal Minister of Works and Housing.
"A ready example of President Bola Tinubu's sagacity in spotting seasoned administrators, true patriots and talents for infrastructural development of the country and enabling societal change, my prayer at this time is that, the President continue, to raise more human 'pillars of growth' for the development of our country, just as Babatunde Fashola has been," Senator Adesoji Akanbi added.
