Ogun State indigenes lament Govt's neglect of genius boy

The people of Ogun State have openly lamented the non-recognition of the genius boy who scored the highest mark in recent JAMB released result for Ogun State.

Few days ago, we published a story where Oladapo Olagbayi Alvine, emerged the candidate with the highest mark in the just released JAMB examination result scoreboard in Ogun state, Nigeria.

The story went thus:

"A student of Advanced Breed Comprehensive College in Ogun State, Alvine scored 340 out of a total of 400, to find a place at the topmost of the scoreboard.

"The son of Anthony Ademola Oladapo and Esele Pamela Oladapo, Alvine is already thinking big about his future.

"According to his father Mr. Oladapo, who works n the hospitality industry, Alvine, wants to study robotics:

"I guess that's AI and the reason for that is that, he said instead of studying medicine which according to him is regular, he hopes to create equipment that can cut short death through surgeries, by 99% with the use of AI which will remove human errors during surgeries. However, no Nigerian university at least to our knowledge, is offering such a course. So the next best thing for my son, is to study Mechatronics and hopefully later, will embark on studying AI for his Masters degree and then for his PhD," said Mr. Oladapo.

The above story elicited much interest and great concern for the child, Alvine. But after days of neglect by individuals and government, the child's enthusiasm, that of the parents and even the indigenes dampened.

And people started talking!

"When people wonder why I am unhappy with our current government, they come up with many emotionally wrong reasons. There are many obvious reasons for any lover of the state to be unhappy, so we all need to know state officers before we can claim to enjoy the government?" Commented a popular Prince who hails from Ogun State in Nigeria, on social media.

"How can we have a kid who scored the highest in JAMB, who is also from the same district as the Governor of the state, yet no contact from Commissioner of Education or the Governors office!"

The matter gets nasty as a similar case in Anambra state, is cited, and which got a different positive reaction from the government and people of Anambra state.

"In Anambra state, a girl who scored the highest with 350/400 has already been given scholarship by popular businessman Obi Cubana who hails from the same Anambra state, plus N3m and she also got a car from innosson motors."

"This is shameful," said the comment.

Other people spoken to on this same matter, didn't have good things to say about the state government with regards to supporting her best brains. While some others deliberately seized the opportunity to call on Governor Dapo Abiodun to step out and grant the child a supportive scholarship to actualize his future dream, which could impact the state in near future.
