OYO: Soji Akanbi Lauds Makinde for Remembering Ajimobi in Death, Hails Late Governor's Matriarch

Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi has saluted the Executive Governor of Oyo-State, Engineer Seyi Makinde for remembering late helmsman of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, as the architect and builder of modern Oyo State.

Former Oyo South federal lawmaker, stated this recently, while reacting to renaming First Technical University, Ibadan after Sen. Ajimobi, by Engr Makinde.

In his words, "Indeed, we must all rise up to appreciate the Executive Governor of Oyo-State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, for appreciating Senator Abiola Ajimobi as the architect of modern Oyo State. Thanks for immortalising Sen. Ajimobi and thanks for renaming First Technical University, Ibadan, after him. This is a raw heart of gold and politics without bitterness. We dearly appreciate you and history will also be kind to you.

Sen. Akanbi lauded Matriarch of Sen Abiola Ajimobi's family, Chief (Dr) Florence Ajimobi for keep Ajimobi's family, together after the patriarch's demise.

Akanbi maintained that Makinde has proved to be a true son of the soil."Gov. Makinde has proved to be true son of the soil with his this act of statesmanship. Ibadan does not forget people's good deeds. You've never forgotten Gov. Ajimobi's good deeds and God will not forget you, and humanity is pleased with you."He stated.

In another news release, Sen.Akanbi also extended his warm felicitations to the Christian faithful and entire good people of Oyo State, on the occasion of this year Easter celebrations.

He saluted Nigerians, for their unwavering supports for country's democratic governance, and wished the nation successful transition. He assured people of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's pro-people presidency and prayed for prosperous Nigeria.
