In a major and final twist to who is the authentic PDP candidate for the upcoming 2023 gubernatorial election in Akwa Ibom State, INEC has restored Umo Eno's name, for the election excercise.
The restoration followed a judgment by an Appeal Court in Abuja which nullified the 20 January ruling of the Federal High Court which sacked Umo Eno in error!
The amendment came via (number five) to the final list of candidates for the election dated 24 February which cited court order as reason for the restoration.
The restoration has elicited widespread celebration in many parts of the state especially in Uyo, the capital city.
