At Funmi Ajila-Ladipo's 60th, Soul Train Birthday Party

It was on the 3rd of March, a cool evening after spots of rain around some parts of Lagos, few days after the much talked about, Nigeria's Presidential election 2023, but nothing was going to stop Funmi Ajila-Ladipo and her elite friends from creating and having fun, to celebrate her life at 60 years, with most of it spent beautifying others through creating fashion styles that scintilates and tantalizes the eyes and senses.

They all gathered at The Anchor place

TEXAS CONNECTION FERRIES tucked at Osborne foreshore, Ikoyi, Lagos, to re-create a night of Soul Train music, entertainment and fun.

The groove was old Skool, the dress-sence, old Skool, the hair, old Skool even the gists were all old Skool.

But that was okay as Funmi Ajila and her family and friends re-lived the happy life of the 80s and early 90s on the dance floor!

And it was a crowd of the big boys and the big gals of the city, the creme de la creme who danced in celebration of life, success and good health of their good friend Funmi.

Funmi Ajila-Ladipo is a former two term President of the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN). A top Lagos Socialite, who has been not just a top, renowned fashion designer at home and abroad, but also, an actress, a singer, a model and talented in many other areas.
