As the PDP governorship campaign train of Pastor Umo Eno and Akon Eyakenyi berthed in Mbo Local Government Area, the Paramount Ruler, His Royal Majesty, Ogwong Okon Abang has stated that Pastor Umo Eno is a God-fearing leader with enviable strength of character.
The monarch made this known when the campaign team paid him a courtesy visit at his palace before proceeding to Enwang for the rally.
HRM Abang noted that Akwa Ibom is a peaceful state and must elect a governor who will further on the trajectory of peace in the state, stressing that peace is the ultimate.
He appreciated the team for the honour done him by the visit, and prayed that God will guide and guard Pastor Umo Eno unto victory.
While addressing the traditional rulers council, Pastor Umo Eno said the visit was to pay homage to the traditional institution adding that when voted into office as governor in the next election, the traditional stool will continue to have its pride of place in the state.
He noted that one of the major projects that must be pursued with vigor in Oro Nation is the Deep sea port adding that when elected, efforts will be made to realise the project which according to him would provide job opportunities for Oro Nation and stimulate the state economy.
The governorship hopeful who was accompanied by his wife, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Eno, and the deputy governorship candidate, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, assured everryone that the ARISE Agenda will find full expression in Mbo.
