The event set up by the 2021 Nigerian Beauty Queen for the purpose of civil social responsibility outreach, in partnership with Green Lotto and other sponsors had a social inclusion project, youth empowerment over the weekend at Egbe-idimu multi-purpose hall which featured different training in skills acquisition for various trades like: Facial Make Over, Barbing, Catering and so on.

According to Abimbola Abayomi, Queen AIRA, the13th Nigerian reigning Queen, &this programme is focused on youth empowerment, and it is for youths who are currently without work and without skills. Our mission here is to empower them by bringing organisations that are ready to help them, to their doorstep. The vision is to empower youths. My focus was to encourage young people to work together because they are the powerhouse of the society, so they can take the community to another level beyond talk. This is a long-term plan and we intend to be supplying them with money for transportation to their various training centres so that they have no excuse”.

On his part, Imoudu Asekhame, Head, Brand and Marketing, Green Lotto Nigeria, has this to say:

"This is a social inclusive program by Queen Aira sponsored by Green Lotto. After she won the beauty pageant, part of her line up program as a queen was to launch a social inclusive program which we decided as a brand to sponsor, because her initiative sits well with what we do at Green Lotto, which is to create an enabling environment for the youths to thrive and prosper.  As a brand that do good, we are always interested in giving back to the society.  Just like we did last week at Ojuwoye LCDA, Green Lotto will again leverage on the Youth Empowerment cause of this laudable initiative to help address various aspects of the Nigerian youth’s life such as the issue of “youth unemployment” in order to support the government’s efforts by investing in empowerment, and employment of the youths towards sustainable national development and in Egbe- Idimu LCDA, we are offering business support to as much as 50 people of this LCDA who will want to become a Green Lotto Agent. Not only that, we are also offering internship opportunities to 5 lucky people of this community where the best performing candidates during the 2- months internship period will be offered automatic employments. As staff they will enjoy all benefits of the organisation such as HMO, pension, group life insurances and other packages. Truth is, depending on the lotto company you might need between 2-3 million to acquire a Lotto terminal but here we are offering Lotto terminals free to lucky beneficiaries."

He also added that agent recruitment is one of the ways Green Lotto is using to reduce unemployment in the country as it has brought about a lot of positive multiplier effect as some agents employ up to 10 staff aside their sub-agents.

Green Lotto has been at the forefront of impactful initiatives to enrich the lives of youths in Nigeria. On July 21. 20221 at the launch of the social inclusion programme at the Odi Olowo / Ojuwoye LCDA many youths were offered opportunities to become agents of the company as well as internship opportunities that will translate into employment after their 2 months internship period.

Other highlights from the event included free health screening for blood pressure and blood sugar level checks.

The event had in attendance, Honourable Ogunbade Olawale Lateef, the Supervisor for Youth and Sports, Egbe-Idimu LCDA, who represented Honourable Kunle Sanyaolu Olowopejo, the Executive Chairman of Egbe-idimu LCDA. Also present was Mrs. Oluwakemi King, head, agriculture and social services department, amongst others.
