Gov. Ben Ayade's ambition for Senate stopped at the Primaries

Ben Ayade, Governor of Cross River State, has lost at the Primaries, as he failed to secure the All Progressives Congress, APC’s ticket, which would have made him to run for the Northern Senatorial District of the state, come 2023.


Ben Ayade is said to have polled 52 votes while Adams Cecelia.


Ben Ayade had hoped to secure the senatorial ticket which would have enabled him retire to the Senate after his two tenure as Governor of Cross River state.
