LIFE, IS TIME, CHANCE AND OPPORTUNITIES BY ZOE OLUWABUSAYO

In life, there are those whom seem as if they have been destined to be so favored by God and providence that all seem to always work in their favor.

We look upon them as extraordinary human beings who seem to have it all, they have a successful career/entrepreneurial venture, a lovely home and even a brighter future.

However, if we look closely at these people that we feel that fortune has so much smiled upon, we will discover that they are those who are diligent in what they do, people who are hardworking and have built excellence into their crafts/trade/career.

A lot of the times, people mention the names of highly successful people and use them as examples of what it actually means to be successful but very few ever study the factors that contributed to their journey or path to success in depth.

Most of these successful and wealthy people are those who discover who they are at whatever stage of life that they did and in relation to that, they also discover what they are good at. They found out what their passion is in life and chose to either build a business around it or pursue a career in relation to it.

At the time that most of the people of their time were busy chasing what the societies thought was the right thing, they were well ahead of their time in terms of who they are and what they want to become.

In addition to that, they began to build themselves and their trade in such an excellent manner and just simply did what they do best until they were opened to opportunities that catapulted them to a much higher realm.

Because of the fact that they knew what their passion is and have built a career/entrepreneurial venture around it, they were best able to spot opportunities when they saw them because of the backlog of the experiences they’ve had and their strategic positioning, which is one of the main reasons why people who have achieved success and are doing well are often called upon to tell the younger generations of how they have achieved what they have achieved and how anyone can also achieve the same thing.

Success is not built on chances, wishes and hope. It is often the relationship between self-discovery and awareness, of passion and business venture, of effort and hard-work, of meaning and purpose. All these come into play when one truly look at the growth of the people that we admire and see as successful in their fields of endeavor. They worked hard, knew exactly what they wanted out of life which placed them in positions where they could easily spot opportunities and took hold of the ones they got which propelled them and their craft forward.

So when next you look upon a successful person with so much desire, also know that there were series of events that help build him/her into what she/he is. You will throw a lot of things into the mix: hard work, integrity, passion, excellence of service, tenacity, continuous learning, networking, credible relationships, strategic position and divine orchestration which led them to become who they presently are.

Success does not “fall” on people just by wishing, it is a result of all that we have mentioned and a lot more.
Remember that “I have seen something else under the sun. The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned, but time and chance happen to them all” (Eccle.9:11).

Time and chance are resultant of consistency, hard-work and strategic positioning. You’ve got to be prepared by who you become daily and what you do consistently.
