Another sober moment as another batch of 137persons
arrived into Nigeria from the poor living conditions, that life subjected them
to in faraway Libya. These have been illegal migrants in that country, who were
rescued under the EU/IOM Initiative.
Under the initiative, many rescued Nigerians have returned
to the country in different batches.
Last night witnessed a total number of 137 persons who
arrived in a chartered flight at 20.20 hours. These were made up of 100 males
and 37 females, among them children and a three month old infant, who had
lost her mother, as the mother unfortunately died at childbirth.
As usual, NCFRMI was at hand to co-ordinate the
arrival activities with other agencies like NAPTIP, FAAN, NIS and others.
