The duo of Steve
Olayinka and Tunde Salau, two sales enthusiasts with heavy sales background,
have come together to establish what today is now known as the Lagos Sales
Academy.
Located in the
heart of Ikeja, the Lagos Sales Academy according to Steve Olayinka is set to revolutionize
the way sales is going to be conducted in the next couple of months, more so, as
the business world continues to become more flexible and dynamic and subject to
disruptions.
To help flag off the new academy, top banker and former deputy governor of Central Bank of Nigeria Mr Tunde Lemo was at Radisson Blu Hotel, GRA, Lagos, to give the opening remarks at the unveiling of the Academy few days ago in Lagos. Mr. Tunde Lemu said that the Academy is an idea whose time has come.
But if Mr. Tunde
Lemo ushered in the new school with much excitement, then Dr. Joseph Dada
former Group Executive Director, Corporate services at UAC Nigeria Plc laid a
stamp of authority on it, when he said the new academy is a vision born at the
right time. Dada went on to give a lecture which received a standing ovation as
it looked at the changing phases of sales over the years and arrived at where
sales will be in the upcoming years.
On his part Tunde
Salau said that “some of the metrics for measuring organizations’ effectiveness
are sales volume, market share, customer satisfaction and profits, relative to competition
and internal dynamics. The sales person hence, is strategically positioned to achieving
the entire business objectives. To help organizations therefore, we at Lagos
Sales Academy are fully equipped to provide excellent capacity development that
will inspire corporate teams to excel.”
The Academy has
already rolled out a regular workshop schedule for the year.
