Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard congratulates Oresanya's new LAWMA appointment

... calls for peace in Lagos

Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard for the support of the Lagos state governor Mr Akinwunmi Ambode has commended the re-appointment of Dr Ola Oresanya a former LAWMA boss to the parastatal.

Dr Oresanya who is an apex member of Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard was re-appointed by the Executive governor Mr Akinwunmi Ambode on the basis of his being a relevant note in the strategy for the private public sector partnership in the state especially as it concerned PSP operations.

Oresanya is noted for his far reaching reforms in LAWMA. He was behind several World Bank projects in the state including the waste to wealth project at Odogunyan in Ikorodu, the Olusosun plastic to nylon and water sachet top and other usable items at Olusosun and other areas in Lagos. Oresanya it was also who brought about a revolution  to be brought into waste management in the state, making it possible for dirt clearing workers to operate on 24 hours basis to keep lagos state clean  and free of refuse.

"It is indeed a move in the right direction," said the National Co-ordinator of Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko, Mr Seyi Bamigbade. It is a major effort to ensure co-operation among stakeholders and allow for a cleaner Lagos, which is want the governor is primarily interested in.

In the same vein Seyi Bamgbade called for peace to reign among the workers of Lagos especially among the honourable in the Lagos House of Assembly. "Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has shown that he is a gentleman, one who respects authority and readily conceded to the supremacy of the party APC and resolved to help the party win the forthcoming election in his capacity as government. He took the decision and he is standing by it. This shouldn't be politicised.

The governor is a progressive to the core which stood on his decision and people should stop rumours about Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

The governor will continued work in peace and conclude his term with the love for Lagosians. We plead with members of the state assembly, to embrace peace because maintaining peace is what is right for Lagos State at this time."
