GOV UDOM's CONTINUITY IS OUR PRIORITY- Elder Benjamin Udobia

The political leader of Esit Eket LGA, Benjamin Udobia have restated that the people of Esit Eket has no alternative to Governor Udom Emmanuel and as such,  his 2019 continuity project is top  priority.


Elder Udobia stated this yesterday when he hosted top political stakeholders and party chieftains to a breakfast meeting at his Ewet Housing residence in Uyo, the state capital.

Udobia who is the deputy director general of the Divine mandate campaign organization, in his opening remarks urged the people to imbibe the spirit of unity for the purpose of sustaining on the achievements of Udom Emmanuel led-administration as 2019 general elections approaches.

The political leader pointed that the re-election project of Governor Udom as the principal occupant of the hill top mansion after 2019 is a noble course all hands must be on deck in other to drive home victrory for the PDP.

The DG, said the testimonies of good governance and leadership impactions attested to by Akwa Ibomite are genuine reasons to encourage and support the Governor to be re-elected after 2019.

In his remarks, the member representing Esit Eket / Ibeno State constituency, Dr. Akpanusoh; appealed for a more proactive political mechanism where stakeholders should partner to persuade and incorporate more women into political practice for greater democratic dividends.

Akpanusoh emphasised that Esit Eket will benefit enormously in the second term of Udom Emmanuel. The state lawmaker while reiterating his commitment to ensure PDP emerge victorious in 2019 said he will continue to collaborate with stakeholders to provide the women with the needed requirements to enable them actively participate in every political outings and activities.

Hon. Iniobong Robson; Executive chairman of Esit Eket reassured the political leader of consistent loyalty and support needed to achieve the re-election victory of Udom Emmanuel.

The council boss however informed that distribution of Permanent Voters Card (PVC), will commence in no distance time in the area. He appealed to all eligible voters who are yet to collect their cards to seize the opportunity for the collection of their PVC in other to avoid being disenfranchised.

Also speaking, the newly elected South-South vice chairman of PDP chapter chairmen forum, Elder Eddy Etangkanga; said that the success of PDP in the forthcoming elections is paramount in the agenda of all indigenes of Esit Eket.

Speaking on behalf of the women, Obonganwan Grace Ikott reiterated that Esit Eket women are united for Udom's second term bid.

Obonganwan Ikott, admitted that the unity enjoyed by the women of the area is spurred by the leadership exposition of the political leader, Elder Benjamin Udobia.

She added that the decision of Elder Udobia will always remain the directive for all the women.

In a brief vote of thanks, the president of Afigh Iwaad Ekid, Obongiwaad (Pst.) Godwin Williams commended the political leader's fervent support for the growth of PDP and development of Esit Eket.

Obongiwaad maintained that the return of Udom Emmanuel will further attract development to the area with enormous socio- economic and political benefits to the area.
