2019: Ambode assured of 3m votes by Group


Lagos based Itesiwaju Eko Vanguard group has assured His Excellency Governor Akinwumi Ambode, that the group will mobilise electorates to ensure 3 Million votes in his favour. Itesiwaju Eko Vanguard group which was founded to propagate the ideal and achievement of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, and also mobilise the electorates to give the governor more votes in the coming 2019 election is spearheaded by Hon Seyi Bamigbade, the General Coordinator and Hon Olusegun Olulade, the
Chairman Apex Forum of the group, honourable Member Representing Epe division in the Lagos State House of Assembly. 

Bamigbade made the vow to mobilize 3 Million electorates, when the group was inaugurating the United Christian Family Initiative (U.C.F.I) chapter, on Tuesday at the Oshodi Local Government secretariat, Legislative Hall in Lagos Mr. Isreal Alagbe, Commissioner 1, Lagos State Civil Service Commission thanked Hon Segun Olulade and Hon Seyi Bamigbade for their
efforts to mobilize more votes for our hard working Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

According to him, when Asiwaju Tinubu brought in and presented the silent achiever in the person of Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode to the party All Progressive Congress APC; they were a lot of hue and cry among the party leaders, pertaining to his background as a technocrat. They started to ask questions about if Ambode could cope and understand the terrain. But today, those leaders are the ones rooting for him now to come back. Pastor Alagbe said when he was appointed as a Executive Secretary in the year 2002-2003 at Oshodi/Isolo Local Government that there was a lot of insecurity in the various Wards that comprise all the area today, he said. Governor Ambode have proven his worth by working
assiduously to confront the menace and which means Oshodi is being saved totally. Alagbe also enumerated someof the achievements of Governor Ambode in some sectors such as health, education, roads, and food security to mention a few.

He also used the opportunity to educate the audience about the importance of the Voters Card and he advised them to hurriedly go to collect and safeguard it from getting lost. While rounding up his address, he used the opportunity again to talk about his pet project the United Christian Family Initiative (UCFI), he said that they are spread across all the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas of Lagos State.

Bamigbade, on his part, rose up to address the large audience starting with political songs, encouraging dance steps by the various market women, political Groups, Artisans and Youths who were present at the event. Hon Bamigbade thanked Hon Segun Olulade for all his effort about the progress of the group "Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard" He later told the audience that "we are not here for jamboree but to
do an immense work and facilitate you all to go out to your various units, wards and local governments, to mobilize people from age 18 above towards ensuring our tagged 3 Million votes come 2019." He said.

Bamigbade also stretched out a hand of welcome to all the decamps from P.D.P and other Organisations, before Hon. Segun Olulade officially inaugurated the United Christian Family Initiative (UCFI) chapter, assisted by; Hon. David Sentoji of the Lagos House of Assembly from Badagry division, Secretary Of Lagos State Local Government Chairman Conference, Conference 57, Hon Bolaji Ariyo the Executive Chairman of Oshodi Local Government, Mr. Babatunde Rontiwa, Chairman, Local Government Service Commission, President of Alfas and Imams Association, Imam Olojeola, Hon.Olushola Shokunle, Member Lagos State of House of Assembly, Oshodi constituency and some other All Progressive Congress Party Leaders. Hon Olulade said, "as from today UCFI has become solitary physique of the Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard," and he also relayed Governor Akinwunmi Ambode's message to the audience. 

He reminded the audience about the Governor's achievements across all the five divisions of the state and counseled all about the advantages of collecting voter’s card on time and its merit for them to use it to return Governor Ambode for the second term. Hon. Bolaji Ariyo, Executive Chairman of Oshodi Local Government, said a lot about the Governor's achievements and his conviction about the incumbent's second term being a sure banker. He used the opportunity to pray for Asiwaju Tinubu and Governor Ambode. 

While bringing the meeting to a close, Hon.Olushola Shokunle who represented Oshodi constituency in the Lagos State of House of
Assembly called on all the indigenes of Oshodi to jump to the train of Ambode's second term movement because he has done a lot for them within his short time in office. He said Oshodi is now Oshodi Avenue like the likes of Lagos Island.
