Italy based Nigerian musician, TOA, set to hit Nigeria music industry

Wave making Italy based Nigerian musician, Timothy Ozemebhoya Asotie, a.k.a, TOA, has concluded plans to storm Nigerian music industry with some of his hit songs.

 The Torino based musician is already making waves in Italy with hit songs such as ‘SELESE, REALITY, ONYINYE ‘ONE IN A MILLION. ’ and the latest 'FREEDOM'.

Popularly called T-Baba, the songs has won him many awards in Italy. He received two nominations from one of the greatest award organization for Africans living in Europe “AFRICAN DIASPORA MERIT AWARD”, while the song “SELESE” was nominated as “Best song of the year 2016’.

He was also nominated as “Breakthrough artist of the year 2016”, while he bagged the highest award with the “ADMA CHOICE AWARD 2016” at the African Diaspora Merit Award which was held in Amsterdam, in October 2017. The hit single titled “ONYINYE” which featured one of African/Europe base artist named Mr. Nature, was released in January 2, 2017.

“I have plans of coming down to Nigeria to storm the music industry because I wish to get a reliable record label and platform to execute my talent.  My songs have breakthrough around the world, and I have other great songs that are yet to hit the music scene as I planned to bring them out with any available record label here in Nigeria.

TOA is a Nigerian political scientist, writer, cultural mediator and music ambassador.

 He is an R&B/Afro Hip Hop/Afro Highlife singer and a prolific songwriter. He hails from Esan North East Local Government Area, Edo State, Nigeria.

 

TOA is a graduate of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Edo State where he studied political science. He has also published and launched his first book titled “Nigerian Political Instability’ in June 2011. 

Born in late 80’s, he  developed his musical ambition of  becoming a great super star while singing as a chorister in his local church named “Assemblies of God Church” at his tender age in 1999, and In 2003, started writing gospel songs and attending church competitions where he sang most of his owned songs. TOA released his first and only album in 2008 which contained eight tracks, and the album was premiered in different radio stations in different states of Nigeria.
