For the children of the Pacelli School for the Blind and Impaired Vision in Surulere, Lagos, reprieve came some days ago, when the members of Ilupeju Diamond Lions Club led by the Centenial President Lion Olatundun Omosaiye visited the school, to commission the club’s signature project, being the rehabilitation/renovation of the school’s sickbay and the medical office.

The club members were not alone as the ceremonial commissioning itself, was done by the Centenial District Governor of 404B-2 Lion (ESV) Taiwo Adewunmi (PMJF, NLCF), along with Club Directors, other members, the school authority and the students themselves.

Works commissioned included the tiling of the floor, the changing of dilapidated windows from luvres to netted aluminium windows, alumimium netted door, and the installation of an air conditioner. Other donations included audio books, bed-sheets and pillow cases.

The club also left a promise to ensure the building of a hall through mobilization of support from the general public for the school.
