After Uyo Church roof collapse and large death toll, Gov Udom prays...

Akwa Ibom State Governor Emmanuel Udom and the good spirited people of Uyo, sprang up to their feet yesterday, to hold a service at the Government House, Uyo, in honour of lost lives, after surviving a massive church roof collapse, that saw a heavy death toll.

The church service last night was well attended but the worshippers were indeed in a sorrowful mood. They wore gravely looks, as they continued to mourn such massive lost of lives in the state.

A church roof collapsed in Uyo, killing at least 60 people, with the figure still being contested as being more than that.

The evangelical Reigners Bible Ministry in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom state, was packed with worshippers when the roof collapsed on Saturday.

The local bishop was being ordained at the service, and in attendance were thousands of people, including top government officials and the state governor.
