Late flamboyant politician and ex Finance Minister, Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh, declared hero at book launch

Memories poured freely last Friday, when the children of late Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh, First Republic, Minister of Finance, launched a book in memory of their father, at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Guest list at the auspicious event included; ex President Olusegun Obasanjo, the Emir of Kano Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Osemawe of Ondo, Mr Wale Babalakin, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor and wife Helen, Dr Clara Akele nee Okotie Eboh and sons, Senator Ben Obi, Amb. Cole, Prof and Prof Mrs OKEREKE, Steve Oronsaye, ex Delta Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, ex Minister, Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi of JULI Pharmacy, Alhaji Sule Maitama, Prof Pat Utomi and many others…

The event is still generating controversy, as some notable guests through their various speeches, re-created new story-lines about the images of the first Nigerian coup and how late Chief Okotie Eboh, has not been well positioned, in the course of the writing of contemporary Nigerian history.

While Alhaji Sule Maitama talked about late Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh's heroic qualities, ex President Olusegun Obasanjo, also used the opportunity to declare that Biafra is dead and buried.
